Kavandatava projekti kirjeldus inglise keeles:

Audrey works with a group of young people (aged 13-19 years, males and females) in Mountmellick, Co. Laois, Ireland. We are hoping to find a European Partner to work with us and develop our project. Our aim is to promote the young peoples participation in school, to develop their understanding of elections process, to develop an understanding of how countries are governed, the influences of the European Union upon themselves and to encourage their and their families participation in elections.

Our Plan- Keeping the project very hands on with the young people using active learning methodologies

1. The group will learn about how countries are governed.
2. The group will learn about the different types of elections.
3. The group will learn about registering to vote and how to vote.
4. The group will develop the materials, organise and facilitate the elections of the YDC Participants Committee.
5. The group will learn about the history of the E.U.
6. The group will learn about what it means to be a European; advantages & disadvantages
7. The group will meet local, national and European politicians.
8. The group will learn about the European Commission.
9. The group will develop their leadership skills through a verirty of activities (his will be the main focus of the project) and participate as youth leaders in our younger participants groups.
10. The group will visit Berlin- Saxenhausen Concentration Camp, Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gates, Check Point Charlie, meet with participants in a programme similar to the MYDC and look at how they developed through the programme. Ideally meet with their partner group here and exchange their learning experiences.
11. The group will evaluate the programme.
