Teadupärast on EVS üks hea viis, kuidas saada uusi kogemusi, eneseusku ja julgust, kindlust ja teotahet.
Järgnev projektipakkumine on mõeldud noortele, kes pole vaatamata pingutustele mingil põhjusel pikemat aega endale tööd leidnud ning just seetõttu võiks olla huvitatud uutest kogemustest, oskustest, ideedest ja kontaktidest, mida hiljem ka tööturule naastes rakendada. Short-term EVS project in Macedonia
Location of EVS: Macedonia, Skopje

Host/Coordinating organisation: Volunteers Centre Skopje (www.vcs.org.mk)

Sending organisation in Estonia: Estonian UNESCO Youth Association (www.euya.ee)

Duration of EVS: since the 1st of March till the 30th of April 2010 (for two months)

Title of the project: Faces without Masks

Summary of the project: Within a short-term voluntary project Estonian voluntary team consisting of 4 young people will assist in preparation and organization of annual International Alternative Theatre Festival «Faces without Masks» that is taking place in Skopje, the capital of Republic of Macedonia, in spring 2010. For the time of this festival the city becomes a centre of Macedonian alternative theatre stage. Besides all theatrical performances and shows the International Festival traditionally includes several workshops such as workshops for actor play, directing, pantomime and physical theatre, as well as some more unconventional ones like jewelry making, misenscene art and juggling.

Volunteers will facilitate the work of theater troupes from different countries in preparing performances and workshops, setting up the stage, in organizing promotional activities of the event, welcoming artists and guests, and also they are going to develop their own creative workshops for local children and youngsters. Volunteers will gain experience in planning and organizing international culture event, and of course they will have an opportunity to participate in all theatrical workshops that would take place.

The participation in the event will give the volunteers chance to gain deepened understanding about processes and development in domain of alternative theatre, they will get a chance to establish contacts with creative people who have similar interests and priorities. The event will gather representative of different countries and different nationalities and provide rich and intense experience of intercultural communication and cooperation for all involved participants, international and local volunteers.

Profile of the potential candidate:
(a) According to EVS criteria: young people aged between 18 and 30. Volunteer with fewer opportunities can participate from the age of 16;

(b) According to the concrete project: the prior target group of this project is young people with fewer opportunities, namely unemployed youngsters who due to social and/or economic obstacles cannot find an appropriate job for a long period of time. As far as the main activity of students is their education, which according to Estonian Law can be considered as an occupation equated to a job, pupils and students, unfortunately, cannot candidate for participation in the project.
